A lookup shows how Songlinks groups one writer’s registrations, today. A free account keeps the writers you look after on a roster, lets you record which registrations really are theirs, and hands whoever files the corrections a worksheet to work from. Sign in with Google; nothing to pay.

One writer, seven registrations
This is Mick Jagger as Songlinks reads the registration data. Three registrations are joined into one person. Four more might be him, and are not joined.

720 of his 744 works sit on his main IPI name number, and 24 are only under another spelling or number. The four unjoined registrations carry no IPI name number, so Songlinks will not join them on a model’s score alone, and nothing in the registrations settles whose they are. The person who looks after the writer can. An account is where you say so.

What you record stays yours
What you record here is yours and stays in your account. We may also use it, combined with other accounts’ and never with your name or team, to improve how Songlinks groups registrations.
Nothing you record changes a registration or what anyone else sees on Songlinks. We keep your name, email and what you save, and you can export or delete it any time: the privacy notice.
Start in three steps
- Sign in with Google. Your first roster is created with your account.
- Type in your writers’ names, or paste their IPI name numbers.
- Open a writer with works filed elsewhere, record which registrations are theirs, and download the worksheet for whoever files the correction.
Good to know
- The groupings are statistical and unverified. A model decides which registrations are one person, and no person has checked its answers. Every join shows its evidence, so check the ones that matter.
- The data is a snapshot of public registration data that does not state its own date, so a very recent registration may not be in it yet.
- Songlinks shows registrations; it does not change them, and it says nothing about what anyone is owed. Only whoever made a registration, or the society holding it, can change it: how works under another spelling or number get fixed.
